Olga Makarova — PAO "MTS"

Olga Makarova graduated from the Moscow State Technical University. N.E. Bauman with a degree in Computer Science and Systems, 26 years of experience in the field of telecommunications and the Internet.

Olga Makarova has engaged in the development of peer-to-peer policies, products and services of IP- transit and peering, including transport services for content providers and platform, TV signal delivery services through data network.

Currently, Olga Makarova specializes in the development and implementation of policies and agreements for peering, IP transit and network content delivery services, studies issues of Internet fragmentation risks.

Olga Makarova is an active member of the Internet community.

Olga Makarova took part in discussions about the impossibility of applying the Global License Concept on the Internet, was an active member of the working group on the development of a basic document on net neutrality, participated in the development of the Report of the Association of Documentary Telecommunications « On the actual state of routing domestic traffic through foreign networks».

In 2015, Olga Makarova was a member of the Council of the Coordination Center for the .RU/.РФ domain, the national registry (administrator) of the .RU and .РФ domains.

Olga Makarova has taken part in conferences of the Documentary Telecommunications Association and Russian Internet Governance Forums.

In 2020, Olga Makarova took part as a speaker at the Global Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2020), made presentations in the DC Internet in Crisis Management and Renewal section and Workshop WS #73 DNS over HTTPS (DoH): human rights, markets and control.

In 2021, Olga Makarova made a presentation at the DC-CIV section "Internet regulation in a crisis a year later" as part of the Global Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2021).
